ECO standard vegetables are cultivated 365 days a year at the hydroponic greenhouse in Făleștii Noi. Built in 2011, the greenhouse has the most modern production technologies. The organization uses a drip irrigation system and the heating system is combined: central heating based on biomass, geothermal pump and central heating based on natural gas. In 2015, the administration of the company decided to build a photovoltaic park on its territory. Thus, 320 solar panels were installed with a nominal power of 80 kW, allowing savings on gas consumption of over 51,000 m3 annually. Using this technology allowed the reduction of CO2 emissions by about 160 tons per year. Consequently, the cost of production was reduced by 40%.
