Primăria satului Izbiște

In 2011, 47 children were enrolled in the “Andrieș” kindergarten in the Izbiște village. The low number of enrolled children was caused by the deplorable state of the institution’s buildings. Old wooden windows, wall cracks and low thermal comfort have led to the abandonment of a block of studies. The Izbiște village administration decided to change the situation and undertook energy efficiency measures in the kindergarten in 2015. With financial support from the Energy Efficiency Fund, the facades and roof of the four blocks of the institution, built in 1986, were insulated, and the old woodwork was changed to PVC doors and windows. The changes have improved the educational conditions and gave the buildings a pleasing appearance. Implementing the energy efficiency measures lowered natural gas consumption by 30%, which brings significant savings to the institution’s budget. Today, the preschool institution is attended by 200 children, and the government has additionally opened two new educational groups.
