The building of the Botanica medical center in the capital, opened in 1976, has undergone major changes following the implementation of an energy efficiency project. The nearly 2000 m2 of exterior walls have been insulated. 900 m2 of the old windows of the institution have been changed, some of them of PVC. Starting with the first cold season of the year, the work carried out resulted in reduced consumption of electricity and heat at a rate of 35 percent each. Thus, over 600 patients receive daily medical care from the center’s staff in high thermal comfort.
