Școala sportivă din or. Drochia

The sports school in Drochia was rebuilt in accordance to modern technologies and is the only institution in town benefiting from geothermal and solar energy. About 1,300 m2 are heated thanks to geothermal pumps. Thus, the school’s sports hall has an optimal temperature. The implemented project has enabled savings of about 50% of the company’s financial resources for the heat bill. 9 million lei were spent for the capital renovation of the school, money allocated by the Swedish government. Additional financial resources were allocated in the amount of 2,798,300 lei, including 835,405 lei for the installation of geothermal heating system. The sports school is attended by over 200 students.
