The 270 children from the No. 2 kindergarten in Bubuieci will enjoy hot running water, heated by sunlight. Founded in 1984, the preschool institution used to have a hot and cold water system in a deplorable condition. The situation was rectified when the institution’s management decided to rehabilitate all the engineering systems. The water pipes and the heating system were changed. Nine new solar collectors for domestic hot water were installed on the institution’s roof, a first for Bubuieci. The installation brought considerable savings for the facility, in turn used to improve educational conditions in the 7 groups currently open. The project was implemented with the financial support of the Energy Efficiency Fund.
